A web-based facility for storing and access of sub-national agricultural statistical data files from the country source. National focal points are responsible for maintaining the database.
Geographically Thailand is divided into 4 regions, namely:
- The Northern region, it consists of 17 provinces;
- The North-Eastern region, it consists of 19 provinces;
- The Central Plains region, it consists of 26 provinces; and
- The Southern region, it consists of 14 provinces.

This document was prepared by the FAO regional project "Improvement of agricultural statistics in Asia and Pacific countries" (GCP/RAS/171/JPN) and the Office of Agricultural Economics of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, for identification of the status, system, issues and improvement of agricultural statistics in Thailand. To achieve this purpose, the project and the Office of Agricultural Economics jointly organized a national seminar on the improvement of food and agriculture statistics in Thailand on 19 December 2001 in Bangkok.
